One of my favorite books of all time. Movie version.
This novel was supposed to be his first published but it was rejected by publishers because it was too disturbing. It was after the success of Fight Club that this was given a chance. An accident left a girl that was beautiful with everything, to her becoming an invisible monster, without a lower jaw and without the ability to speak to speak again. She look so hideous that no one would acknowledge she exist. Brandy Alexander, a step away from becoming a man-made woman, will teach the girl that reinventing yourself means erasing your past and making up something better. And that salvation hides in the last places you’ll ever want to look. I love this book because we find salvation in the places that we least expect.
